Home Credit offers financial solutions that are simple, transparent, and accessible. To highlight this, we collaborated with Ogilvy & Mather to create a massy and popular spot with a clear message. The film features scenarios where the protagonist needs to ask for money due to financial constraints. A key challenge was integrating Visual Effects (VFX) without overwhelming the viewer. The script required the borrower to shrink with shame, narrated by the voice-over: “Udhaar le kar aur kitne chhote banoge?” (How much will you shrink under the shame of borrowing?). We partnered with MFX, Malaysia, to ensure effective VFX integration that enhanced the humour.

Targeting low-income groups needing small loans for items like phones, we relied on realistic casting and production design. Production designer Sonali Bhatia created detailed sets that reflected the characters’ lives. For the ‘Doston se udhaar’ film, we used a real Mumbai house, showcasing elements like a washing machine.
