A major challenge was the limited 8-hour shoot window with the cricketers.

Britannia’s 50-50 Sweet and Salty crackers have been a beloved treat since their launch. To humorously highlight their dual flavour appeal, we partnered with Lowe Lintas, Bengaluru, to create a series of qawwalis. The qawwalis were written by Swanand Kirkire and the creative team.

The films featured the charm of Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers’ accented Hindi, with Virat Kohli leading the performances in a Mughal garden setting.

We set up foundational lighting in advance and used a two-camera setup for efficiency.

Sonali Bhatia designed a miniature Mughal garden set, constructed in Mumbai and transported to Bengaluru. Precise planning ensured it would fit any banquet hall, adapting to last-minute location changes.

Despite tight deadlines, the quirky sweet and salty qawwalis captured the public’s attention with their charm and creativity.
