When novices try to steal what professionals would be petrified to even think of, one can say – courage is born out of stupidity. The idea of revenge makes one irrational and gutsy, more so if the revenge involves stealing 600 crores of ones enemy’s money. The catch – the enemy is none other than an all powerful politician cum power broker – in Choona, Avinash Shukla.

Creating Choona took almost 3 years. Shooting for a 100 days across Mumbai and Lucknow and through two devastating waves of Covid, Choona tested our resolve in every way. The storytelling of Choona had to be modern and stylish and hence the shooting was equipment heavy. With an ensemble cast in the show, we needed us to coordinate schedules with numerous permutations. 

The post production of Choona proved trickier than the shoot. With 1200 VFX shots that were distributed across 12 vendors and with deliveries that required collaboration between suppliers, our offices looked like a railway control room, with trains coming in and going out. This has been our most ambitious project to date and something we are really proud of for its story and its craft. Choona received two SWA nominations for its dialogues and its screenplay.
